Weekly Dance Classes
In person Private Lessons
Skype/Zoom/Live Private Lessons
Friday DJ Set made Live at 7:00 pm
This is a heavy decision as I fear people being isolated and approaching cabin-fever. Though we are following in suit as NYC has been announced as being in a State of Emergency and suggests social distancing. I personally believe that gathering is good for us in many ways including our health but there is too much unknown to risk.
Please consider donating or purchasing a lesson (even future lesson), this is a worrisome time for Fulltime Artists and the Spaces that support them like Brooklyn Swings. As even without paying Teacher or DJs the rent is not going away.
Thank you for your understanding
Let's make healthy choices together!
Always,

Brooklyn Swings Communal Goal
OVERVIEW
Brooklyn Swings offers a space where all are welcome to be present, involved, collaborate and participate with mutual respect. All attending and managing create the space we are in and make this possible.
Tell us whats up:
The Brooklyn Swings Goal
The Brooklyn Swings goal is to have a respectful space for all, regardless of anything visual, physical, ability, cultural, spiritual, viewpoints, or anything that could make us feel the same or different from each other. Harassment, including virtual, is to be taken as a challenge to this goal and not welcomed. In this space we collaborate, learn, exchange, create and grow.
Participants are expected to respect each other and, if not will be expected to make an immediate change and/or asked to leave. Every event is unique and therefore every outcome is unique and will be decided at the discretion of Brooklyn Swings.
See something, say something. Brooklyn Swings managers (including teachers and DJs) are good people to reach out to, including methods of contact listed above. All parties directly involved in any event are respected by having their voice heard. Please tell us the good stuff and bad stuff --we want to hear about all the stuff, really.
BEING A RESPECTFUL DANCE EVENT ATTENDEE
Welcome those around you and offer the chance to share your mutual joy.
Please be aware of space on the dance floor to avoid accidental collisions or injuries. It is every dancers’ responsibility to be aware of the movement and position of their partner, the people & space around, and one’s own body in order to promote safety. Ask before offering advice of any kind.
Photography: Everyone is welcome to take pictures but at anytime we may ask you to put away your camera device since our priority is to be present in the moment. Use of images can be questioned by Brooklyn Swings and needs approval for use outside of Brooklyn Swings social media spaces by Brooklyn Swings.
Please be respectful to the Brooklyn Swings staff, even if you are experiencing a frustration. Without the goodwill of these individuals, a smoothly functioning event is impossible.
Finally, be aware of your own boundaries and physical needs. Knowing this makes supporting you easier.
